Lawn Art – Art 381
UPDATE:CLICK HERE TO SEE THE PAGE
Here we have another Art 381 assignment: The Lawn Art Webpage.
I've chosen to highlight "classy" lawn art. (Click the images to make them bigger) The page on the right is the main page. I chose to do a horizontal navigation scheme with large thin images. Rollovers are used, displaying witty titles pertaining to the content (the "dog" category is shown mouse-overed). The background behind the table will be a dark to light gray, so I repeated a lighter variation on the masthead. Grass plays in front of the title to get the lawn theme across. Teal is juxtaposed upon the dark brown-green for a bold and bright body color, especially against the dark gray gradient background (not shown).
On the left is one of the 4 2nd-tier pages. This is the dog page. Matching masthead and "go back" button text treatments tie the page together from top to bottom. Frames on pictures make the photos stand out from the rest of the page. White text on a gray rounded-rectangle helps catch the users eye when scanning for a visual hierarchy, the text being high in importance.
Overall I am happy with my design.
